This event which was originally for runners, walkers, and cyclists has successfully taken place for several years as the Seaford Martello Triple Challenge. In 2019 it was decided to restrict the event to runners and re name it as the Martello Half Marathon. This proved very successful and attracted a lot more entrants. The Martello Half Marathon is organised by the Martello Rotary Club of Seaford and Nice Work, the well known race organisers.
In previous years participants have said:

“Great Course and challenging. The views were amazing and need to be seen. Well marshalled and good organisation. Hopefully it can grow and grow. One of the best runs I’ve been on and will definitely be back next year”
“Absolutely loved having the Town Crier to send us on our way. Out on the route the marking was excellent, no chance of getting lost which was my main concern. The marshals were fantastic “
